Charleston Bridge Peer Mentors

Charleston Bridge Peer Mentors are successful undergraduates who guide bridge students by supporting their academic and personal experience while residing on the College of Charleston campus. Mentors have experience working with first year students, knowledge of campus resources, and are committed to student success and development.

Mentors will be communicating with Charleston Bridge participants through College of Charleston email and meeting with students in the student success seminar during the fall semester. The mentor's goal is to ensure students are transitioning well and working toward meeting all of the Charleston Bridge program requirements. Mentors are not tutors. Students can request tutoring through the Center for Student Learning. The Charleston Bridge peer mentor is a good source for students to contact with any questions or concerns.

Partnering with the Center for Excellence in Peer Education

The Center for Excellence in Peer Education (CEPE) provides mentors with training, ongoing supervision and evaluation. The CEPE staff provides all peer educator groups on campus with the tools and resources necessary to have a successful experience in delivering an enriched and diverse learning environment to our students.
