Student Portal Information

Students should check the TTC and CofC email account

To automatically forward your TTC email account:

  1. On your computer, login to your TTC Google Email
  2. In the top right, click Settings
  3. Click the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab
  4. In the "Forwarding" section, click Add a Forwarding Address
  5. Enter the email address you want to forward message to
  6. Click Next > Proceed > OK
  7. A verification message will be sent to that address. Click the verification link in that message.
  8. At the bottom of the page, click Save Changes

- Email about fall semester financial aid and billing will be sent to the TTC email account

- Email from the Charleston Bridge program director, College of Charleston Office of Admissions, success seminar instructors, peer mentors and fall semester program and event information will be sent to the CofC email account

Using the MyCharleston Student Portal (My.CofC.edu)

MyCharleston (my.cofc.edu) is a secure gateway to the College of Charleston's on line services. This portal contains links to helpful information and services on campus. Some channels will not be applicable to Charleston Bridge students until they are accepted as College of Charleston students in the spring. In general, use this portal if you:

  • Want to login to OAKS, the College of Charleston learning management system.  Login to MyCharleston > click on the acorn icon in the upper right hand corner 
  • Want to view Trident Technical College course descriptions, the academic calendar, or final exam schedule. Login to MyCharleston > Click Academic Services tab > look for the Charleston Bridge Program channel 
  • Want to download a drop/add or course withdrawal form. Login to MyCharleston > Click Academic Services tab > look for the Charleston Bridge Program channel 
  • Want to download a FERPA release form. Login to MyCharleston > Click Academic Services tab > look for the Charleston Bridge Program channel 
  • Want to update your address or contact information with CofC. Login to MyCharleston > Click Academic Services tab > Banner Self Service > Student > Current Contact Information 
  • Want to view a list of helpful campus life information and services links. Login to MyCharleston > Click Student Services tab > look for the Campus Life channel 
  • Want to search the library for a book, article, or journal. Login to MyCharleston > click on the library book icon in the upper right hand corner

Using the Trident Technical College Student Portal (My.Tridenttech.edu)

The TTC Student Portal (My.Tridenttech.edu) provides students with access to various tools and information regarding their enrollment as a TTC student. Charleston Bridge students may not be able to utilize all of the features available in this portal. In general, use this portal if you:

  • Are seeking information about payment or financial aid. Login to TTC portal > Click Menu > Financial Life
  • Want to check your TTC student email account. Login to TTC portal > On the Home tab, Click "click here to read your my.tridenttech.edu Student Email".
  • Want to update your address or contact information with TTC. Login to TTC portal > Click Menu > My Education > My Information > Update My Information
  • Want to view your class schedule. Login to TTC portal > Click Menu > My Education > My Information > My Schedule
  • Want to view your mitdterm or final grades when they are posted. Login to TTC portal > Click Menu > My Education > My Information > My Grades

Trident Tech’s student portal page is the resource for all communication from TTC as well as billing and financial aid information.  It is important that students know how to log in and check email regularly. The log-in is initially set to a permanent username and a temporary password. Most usernames are just the first and last names (all one word), but some have numbers added as well. The user name is on the acknowledgement letter the student received from TTC when students were first admitted to the Bridge program. The initial password is Aa######$ (that’s Aa, followed by the last 6 digits of your Social Security number, followed by $). Students will be required to change that temporary password when logging in for the first time.

If a student has forgotten their password, submit a help request (http://my.spectate.com/ttc-express-email-assistance-trident-technical-college-page) or call 843.574.6309 to have the password reset. Once in the portal, there are two important resources:

  • TTC email: at the top of the page, middle column, click to go to the TTC email, logging in with the same username and password used to access the portal. TTC will use this email account for all communication, so please check it regularly.
  • TTC Express: in the left column, click on the down arrow and select “TTC Express for Credit Students.”  The “Financial Information” tab will show the account activity and balance due, allows sign up for a fall payment plan, make a payment online, and provides information about Financial Aid.

Password reset for TTC Express

If you have logged into my.tridenttech.edu before and registered in TTC's my.tridenttech.edu Portal Account Self-Service password reset system, you can change your own password. If you have not registered in TTC's self-service Password Reset system call 843.574.6999 and select option #2, or submit a Help Request.

You will need your full name and the Trident Technical College student ID number for assistance. Be sure to include a valid phone number where you can be reached. Once you have your password, register in TTC's my.tridenttech.edu Portal Account Self-Service password reset system so that you can reset your password in the future.
