Summer Preview 2012
August 14 - 18: an experience designed for freshmen
If you are interested in connecting with other first year students who have similar interests, then Summer Preview is a perfect fit and a great way to kick-off your Fall semester.
Summer Preview brings select groups of incoming first year students together who want to explore their new learning environment and get a head start on their college experience. A variety of themes are available. Student Affairs staff, faculty, and student peer mentors will support you during this whole adventure.
Students will participate in a variety of experiences within close proximity to the College of Charleston campus. The focus will be on learning about Charleston and its surroundings, but, we will also talk about the upcoming semester and how to tie in what you are doing in this program and the next few years here.
All themes will hold only 12 students. Each theme has either one, two, or three student Peer Mentors who lead the activities under close supervision of College of Charleston faculty and/or staff members.
Please note: those students selecting Orientation 10 or Sorority Panhellenic Recruitment will not be able participate in Summer Preview because the schedules will conflict. Summer Preview registration will be from 7 pm - 8 pm on August 14. All participants must pre-register with the program at this date and time.
New for 2012 is First Year Study Abroad! Business of Sports will be going to the UK and Pre-Med will be going to Berlin. For more information click HERE.
