Charleston Bridge Peer Mentors

Charleston Bridge Peer Mentors are successful undergraduates who guide bridge students by supporting their academic and personal experience while residing on the College of Charleston campus. Mentors have experience working with first year students, knowledge of campus resources and are committed to student success and development.

Mentors communicate with Charleston Bridge participants throughout the fall semester and serve as a co-instructor in the Student Success Seminar. The seminar meets on Mondays from 5:30-6:20pm. The mentor's goal is to ensure students are transitioning well and working toward meeting the Charleston Bridge program requirements.

The Peer Mentor team is supervised by the Assistant Director of Bridge Programs. The Assistant Director and program Director both reside in the Office of New Student Programs. Work stations are available in the office for peer mentor use and student meetings as needed.

The Center for Excellence in Peer Education (CEPE) collects applications for all peer educator roles including the Charleston Bridge Peer Mentors. If you are interested in applying as a Charleston Bridge Peer Mentor and meet eligibility requirements, please complete the CofC Peer Educator Application and indicate your interest in being a Charleston Bridge Peer Mentor.
